Increase in sales but unsatisfactory profit situation

The first half of 2017 saw the Zehnder Group achieve sales of EUR 280.6 million, amounting to 7% more than in the previous year. The operating result (EBIT) continues to be under pressure and fell from EUR 10.6 million in the same period last year to EUR 5.6 million. Net profit decreased from EUR 6.7 million to EUR 1.6 million.

Gränichen, Switzerland, 14 June 2017 – After a production stop that began on 31 May 2017, the Zehnder Group aims to restart production in Manisa (TR) from the beginning of July 2017. The reason for the production stop was the stronger earthquakes that were recently recorded and the related assessment of the safety of the production building.

Gränichen/Switzerland, 27 February 2017 – In 2016, the Zehnder Group achieved a turn- over of EUR 538.9 million – an increase of 1% compared to the previous year. The operating result (EBIT), before one-off effects, dropped from EUR 27.0 million to EUR 15.1 million. Further restructuring costs totalling EUR 12.0 million had an impact on EBIT. There was a one-off positive effect of EUR 40.3 million resulting from the sale of the old production facility in China. After one-off effects, EBIT amounted to EUR 43.4 million, with net income of EUR 28.1 million.​

Modest growth in sales

Gränichen/Switzerland, 13 January 2017 – In the 2016 financial year, the Zehnder Group increased its sales to EUR 538.8 million (unaudited) compared to the previous year (EUR 533.0 million), equating to a rise of 1%. The end-of-year financial statements and annual report will be published on 3 March 2017.
